Amazing food, super friendly staff, no judgement if you can’t eat with chopsticks :) they play Korean and Japanese music too.
MoreThe food is excellent. Try the Stone Bowl!
We like this place before, but its gone worst when the pork bone soup gone too salty! We have to ask the cook to pour more soup as I cannot take the salty bone soup.
MoreAmazing! Best Korean food in the Kingston area! They're sushi is great too! Come check it out!! 🍲🍣🍤🍛
MoreI find this place very uneven. I give it 4 stars because 80% of the time it is but that 20% it can be a one star experience. Ive been ignored as a table of two and a table of four in the past even when the restaurant is nominally empty. But it is really good food and generally great service. Plus they have hot plates at the large tables which is hard to find in Kingston!
MoreThe manager (or employer) was insulting and yelling at one of the staff with sacarstic and swear words in front of the washroom.(unacceptable personal insult + calling the stuff a “pig”+sexist words)Terrible dining environment & experience for costumers. Will never go there again.
MoreGreat place to scratch your Korean food itch. Service can be slow at times, so not an ideal place for lunch unless you have 1hr+ too spare. If you are new to Korean, their dolsot bibim bap is very good.
MoreI ate at the restaurant and ordered a pork bone soup which was decent. This time, when I ordered a Tang Soo Yook, I found that the pork was fried to the point where it was almost rock hard that I could barely chew it even with the sauce poured over it. I wish some of the dishes here could be improved because there are not many other Korean food options in Kingston.
MoreThis was the first place I ever tried bibimbap, and has remained my favourite bibimbap despite trying many others. The bulgogi bibimbap is my go-to! Took my sister here for dinner last night as she is visiting for Thanksgiving. We shared an order of fried meat gyoza, which were delicious, and we each had bibimbap - bulgogi for me, spicy pork for her. Service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is simple but nice.
MoreA Korean/Japanese fusion restaurant. Most Korean dishes can be a little spicy and there's no indication on the menu to tell customers which items are spicy, which are not. Definitely check with the waitress before ordering if you are sensitive to spicy/hot foods. Food came with good presentation and is very delicious. Service was fast and very courteous.
MoreGood variety and tasty food. The Bibimbap could be better
Fantastic food and service!
This place was very good. I had one of the best teriyaki bento boxes I have ever had. The service was attentive, the people were friendly and approachable. We are definitely coming back. It's worth the drive from Belleville!
MoreGood food and good service!
This place has really gone down hill - at least there Japanese food has. The sushi was some of the worst i've had in Kingston, miso soup was cold. With so many great spots for sushi in the city (Sima, Kame, Sapporo), just avoid this place all together. Can't speak to the Korean food though.
MoreAside from the fact that I got mild food poisoning last time I ate here, Hwaki is a fairly-mediocre Korean restaurant. I had the beef stone rice bowl bibimbap, which was OK. Beef was slightly overcooked & rice was mediocre for stone bowl price. Nothing really stood out positively about Hwaki.
MoreEnjoyed the bulgogi bibimbap and sashimi crunch roll. Very filling!
The atmosphere was nice and it was clean. However, the rice was unevenly flavored and was quite salty. The bean sprouts side dish was also so salty that I had to drink four cups of water.
MoreThe hot pot here was great, but it's not all you can eat.
I've been going to hwaki for years. Best sushi in Kingston and totally underrated. Don't sleep on the bulgogi either. Very friendly staff and always quick to get our meal. One of my favourite spots to get good food and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere.
MoreI come here for the awesome sushi. I have tried sushi at a number of different places in different cities, and so far this is still the best. Great portion sizes, very reasonable prices - I never leave without feeling full and rarely spend more than I would at an all you can eat place, and the quality is worth it. The people who run this place are also very kind and courteous, and as a regular they always greet me happily when I come in. If you go in to order take out, they will often offer a complementary tea for you to drink while you wait for your food, which I find to be a very nice touch. Aside from the sushi, there are a number of other great menu items that you can sit down to try. Great menu, great food, great prices and great people - you have got to try this place.
MoreDelicious authentic Korean food! Try the bi-bim bap, it's amazing!
The food is ok if you are not here to eat authentic Korean or Japanese food, the price is reasonable and I really appreciate the side dishes before the meal.
MoreExcellent! Had the sushi love boat and sukiyaki. Sukiyaki was really authentic and perfect for a cold day.
MoreStay away from the filthy bathroom if you want to enjoy your visit.
Really fantastic owners with delicious Korean/Japanese food! Menu is quite extensive so there's something for everyone. Prices are also really great compared to most stores in Kingston.
MoreOur favourite place to have Bibimbap in Kingston. So wonderful!
Great, fresh tasting food. Would have given 5 stars but was offended when asked for a tip when i picked up takeout. Other than that, service is good. Hours are restricted so check their website
MoreWorst Korean restaurant I ever met. Its price is too high comparing to the quality of its dishes. The appetizers are disgusting. I tried crispy chicken and chicken wings. Those are bone and bland, and serve with disgusting sauce. The omelette I tried is too sour, and the vegetable in rice are rare and totally bland. Moreover, all food taste like they are.just microwave food. PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
MoreLove this place. Great food and severs~Me and my wife go there all the time. Highly recommend !
MoreI wasn't too impressed with their food. The sushi did not seem fresh and their Korean food was also not that great. The only thing I found decent on their menu was Korean Style pork belly bbq.
MoreThere is a food call Grilled spicy pork which taste very very very good~!
We had hot pot and it was ok but not amazing. Sushi is good. They have some good a la carte items as well. Decent atmosphere.
MoreDelicious food, friendly service, best Kimchi pancakes ever! Had never tried Bibimbab - wonderful flavors - and all so reasonably priced! We'll be back!!
MoreSushi was great and fresh. Aside from a little ordering issue (skip the dish's, not the restaurant), I would absolutely go again.
MoreGreat quality of food. Tasteful and delicious!
The server was very friendly, informative, and made helpful suggestions. The food arrived very quickly, was all delicious, and perfectly cooked/ seasoned. Loved the fact that everything was authentic. Would definitely visit in the future!
MoreDelicious food! Eat in or delivery, always great quality! I love the fried chicken <3
MoreHit pot are nice, relatively slow speed so bring your friend with you.
Nice place with good atmosphere. Has good hot pot and i personally enjoy the bibimbap. Prices are fair and the food is overall good. Excellent service, the waiters and waitresses are very nice!
MoreTasty authentic Korean food, great Bento Boxes. Service is excellent Always satisfies
Morebest kimchi pancakes and bibimbap! mmmmm! remembering Jenny. fast helpful service. food arrived quickly.
MoreGreat bipimbap, good service as well. Would recommend to anyone.
Three is us went to dinner last night and we all enjoyed our meals immensely. Our friend had lived in Korea for a year and found the food to be very authentic. Our server was very helpful and friendly and our food came quickly. We will definitely be back.
MoreEnjoyed the food - their pickles and cold potato sides are delish love the induction cook at the table - great for the kids that joined us - they had a ball cooking for themselves and each other. The wonderful family that owns Hwaki have made me feel very welcomed and it is my go-to place for cozy sit down Korean food.
MoreGood ethnic food for the area, prices are a bit more than what they need to be, but it's in line with the rest of the restaurants around. the service was also pleasant and food arrived quickly
MoreThe food here was outstanding. I visited Kingston from NYC, and the bibimbap is better than any I've had in New York.
MoreI hate to say this, but with regards to the Korean cuisine, it is not as good as Podonamu. Anything you order has a Chinese taste to it, even the bibimbaps, but I guess that’s a good thing to me bc it reminds me home. And it takes forever to have my meal. Ps, the price is not fair with regards to the actual quantity provided.
MoreVery cool place to eat, super friendly and answered all questions.
Food was good service was slow but it was the night of the Santa Claus parade
